Fan refurbishment

Fan blades made of FRP must be protected against weathering by an intact surface coating. Over time, this coating becomes damaged by moisture, UV radiation and abrasion at the leading edge.

If wear has progressed to the point where the glass fibers are exposed, the structure of the fan blade can be damaged, thus affecting its strength. With a repair/repair and a new surface coating, a cost-intensive new purchase of the complete fan can often be avoided.
