Sprayers / Nozzles

The water distribution system of the cooling tower cell consists of a main distribution pipe which feeds the distribution pipes and the spray units (see figure) which are connected to the distribution pipes. The heat and mass transfer between water and air is particularly effective when the water spraying is as uniform as possible on the cooling installation.

The water distribution system, including sprayers, is dimensioned accordingly. For this purpose, the pressure losses in the distribution system and the nozzle cross-sections are optimized. The injection units used are optimized so that they distribute the water evenly even at low upstream pressure and allow wide operating ranges at variable operating pressures.

The entire water distribution system is designed to be self-draining. This largely prevents the accumulation of dirt.
